Your books, your business, nobody else's
GrainTrackr holds what your facility earns and who you deal with. Here is who can see it, who can change it, and where it is actually kept - in plain words, not computer ones.
Nobody else can see your books
Every facility on GrainTrackr gets its own separate space. Another elevator down the road cannot see your growers, your loads, your rates or your invoices - and you cannot see theirs. There is no shared list anyone can browse, and no way to land on someone else's numbers by fiddling with a web address.
Your crew sees their work, not your pricing
Everyone gets one of two kinds of account. Yard staff can punch in hours, fill out forms and enter scale tickets. Anything to do with money - rates, invoices, screenings deals, deleting records - is for owners and office staff only. That is not just a hidden button: if a yard account tries it anyway, GrainTrackr turns it down.
Everyone signs in as themselves
Staff sign in with the Google or Microsoft account they already use for email. We never see or keep their password. When someone leaves, shut off their work email and they are locked out of GrainTrackr at the same time - there is no shared password floating around the office to change.
You can see who changed what
Every time somebody adds a ticket, edits an invoice, changes a grower or deletes something, GrainTrackr notes down who did it and when. If a number looks wrong six weeks later, you can go and look instead of trying to remember who was on that day.
Under the hood
The practical details
Scrambled on the way and at rest
Everything travelling between your computer and GrainTrackr is scrambled so it cannot be read on the way, and the information sitting in storage is scrambled too. If somebody got hold of the raw files, they would not be able to read them.
We never touch your card
Card numbers go straight to Stripe, the company that handles the payment - the same one behind a lot of the shops you buy from online. Your card details never reach us. All we ever see is whether the subscription is paid up.
Where your information is kept
GrainTrackr is built and supported here in Saskatchewan. The computers that actually hold your information sit in the United States. That is normal for software of this kind, but if keeping your records inside Canada matters to your operation, say so before you sign up and we will tell you straight whether we can do it.
We hear about trouble before you do
GrainTrackr caps how fast any one account can make changes, so a jammed-up program cannot swamp the system. And if something breaks, an alert comes to us automatically - usually before you would have picked up the phone.
Questions about any of this?
If your insurer, your lender or your board has questions about how your records are handled, send them our way and we will answer them directly.
